Keegan Stephan is a writer, organizer, and J.D. student. He’s been documenting the #BlackLivesMatter movement in NYC since its inception, has served as plaintiff in lawsuits aimed at curtailing civil rights abuses by the NYPD, and has covered the militarization of the department over the last ten years, specifically in regards to its increase in military weapons, personnel, and surveillance techniques.
