  • Vinnie Mosco Goes Home Shopping

A sociology professor at Queens University, Vinnie Mosco takes on the looming monopoly that is the Home Shopping Network. In perfectly recreating the shoddy products and manipulative sales techniques of the Home Shopping Channel Professor Mosco shows how this absurd cultural phenomenon is fast becoming a way of life for millions of Americans. However, the cheap merchandise and comfortable experience that home shopping provides is leading to the reduction and marginalization of the American work force. Mosco finally reveals the impending danger behind America’s obsession with HSN to be nothing less than the onset of corporate slavery in which corporations are selling people to people.
