War and the Economy
Produced by high school youth from Manhattan, The Bronx and Brooklyn in reaction to the financial stress felt in New York pre-dating the war in Iraq in 2003. In the search for the true opinions of New Yorkers on war and the local economy, the young producers conduct interviews in some of the diverse neighborhoods in New York City including Soho, Times Square and in their neighborhoods in the Bronx. The production illuminates opinions on how the war would impact New York City and has been used as an educational tool for teach-ins about the war with Iraq. Produced through a community media workshop with The Impact Coalition/Bronx Defenders, War and the Economy.
